Stephen R. Bochner, MD is a partner in Sextant Search Partners’ Private Equity and Healthcare Practices. Based in Sextant’s New York office, Stephen focuses on the recruitment of private equity investment professionals and senior operating executives to financial sponsor-backed healthcare companies.

Prior to joining Sextant, Stephen was a global practice leader at the executive search firms Highland Partners and TMP Worldwide Executive Search, specializing in the healthcare and private equity sectors. Before entering the executive search industry, Stephen served as a vice president in the Venture Capital Group at Robertson Stephens & Co.  Previously, he held senior operating positions in two venture capital financed healthcare companies.

As a physician, Stephen founded a private surgical practice and served on the Clinical Faculty at Stanford University Hospital.
Stephen completed his medical training at Stanford University, holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and received a BA from Colgate University.

Pamela Cox-Cavanagh is an associate at Sextant Search Partners in Boston. A member of the Asset Management and Hedge Fund Practices, Pamela specializes in recruiting institutional sales, marketing, client service, and consultant relations professionals; equity and fixed income portfolio managers, product specialists; analysts; chief investment officers; hedge fund investment professionals; heads of wealth management, and investment portfolio managers.

Prior to joining Sextant, Pamela worked in the Healthcare, Education and Not-for-Profit Practices at Korn/Ferry International. Previously, she was a writer at the Boston Globe.

Pamela received a BS in journalism from Suffolk University and is an alumna of Simmons College.

Holly Davidson is a partner with Sextant Search Partners’ Private Equity, Traditional Asset Management and Global Banking Practices, specializing in the recruitment of senior-level investment and fund operating professionals for LBO, growth equity and venture capital firms, as well as for fund-of-funds, endowments and other alternative asset management clients. Based in Sextant’s San Francisco office, Holly has conducted managing partner, partner/managing director, principal/director and vice president searches for fund and financial services clients in the Bay Area and across the country.

Holly brings over a decade of relevant private equity and financial services industry experience to her clients. Prior to joining Sextant, Holly was an investment professional at a leading San Francisco-based technology buyout firm. Previously, Holly was director of Corporate Development at Blue Martini Software, a customer relationship management software company, as well as a senior associate at Robertson Stephens’ Technology Group. At Robertson Stephens, Holly advised a variety of internet and software clients on M&A and financing transactions. Holly spent her earlier career with Morgan Stanley in New York, where she worked in Mergers & Acquisitions and the Fixed Income Derivative Products Group.

Holly received her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and her BBA from the University of Michigan with highest distinction. She is a frequent speaker at private equity and investment management conferences, as well as an active member of the Stanford alumni community.

Mark Esposito leads Sextant’s Corporate Administration and Finance Practices, specializing in senior functional roles within private equity and hedge funds, investment, commercial and retail banking, institutional asset managers and insurance companies, as well as financial sponsored portfolio companies.   Mark has completed board, CEO, CFO and select leadership mandates in finance, administration, technology, operations, sales/marketing, legal/compliance and risk management functions.

Formerly a partner at Christian & Timbers, Mark was the founder of the firm’s Global Financial Services Practice, leading the practice for seven years. He was also a member of the firm’s leadership advisory board.

Previously, Mark was affiliated with D.S. Wolf Associates and Smith Hanley Associates. Before entering search, Mark held a series of sales and marketing roles with a leading financial services publisher.

Mark received a BA from Gettysburg College in business administration.

Nancy L. Gartlan is an associate with Sextant Search Partners’ Global Banking and Corporate Administration Practices in New York, specializing in the recruitment of M&A, private placements, PIPEs bankers, and leveraged finance professionals. Additional areas of expertise include mid-to-late stage venture assignments and growth equity mandates. Nancy was Sextant’s director of research from the firm’s inception in 2002 to 2006.

Prior to joining Sextant, Nancy was a research associate at TMP Worldwide Executive Search after the company's acquisition of the Highland Search Group. At Highland, Nancy was the director of research supporting the private equity, investment banking, capital markets, asset management and real estate sectors. Previously, Nancy was the director of research for the New York Financial Services Practice at Boyden International.

Nancy received a BFA from New York University.

Regina Glocker joined Sextant Search Partners' New York office in July 2007. A partner in Sextant's Global Banking, Hedge Fund and Private Equity Practices, Regina specializes in senior-level banking assignments in corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets, and has worked extensively with hedge funds and private equity firms.

Previously, she was a partner at Westwood Partners from 2002 to 2007, where she focused on investment banking, hedge funds and private equity. She began her search career at Korn/Ferry in 1997, where she was a partner in the Investment Banking/Capital Markets Group. Before turning to executive search, Regina sold derivative and debt capital market products to international energy companies for Chase Securities and Chemical Securities. She worked in Aetna’s private placement group prior to attending business school.

Regina has a AB in economics from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in public and private management from Yale University.

Jonathan S. Goldstein is a partner and founding member of Sextant Search Partners, bringing to the Private Equity Practice over a decade of experience in executive search and direct investing in the alternative asset class. Based in Sextant’s New York office, Jonathan has completed numerous associate, vice president and partner searches on behalf of private equity and other alternative asset management firms.

Prior to forming Sextant, Jonathan was a consultant in the Private Equity Practice of the executive search division of TMP Worldwide. Previously, he was a vice president at Sun Capital Partners, a middle-market leveraged buyout group focusing on turnarounds and under-performing companies.

Jon began his career working in the private equity markets of the former Soviet Union, where he was a fund manager with the AIG Brunswick Millennium Fund and New Century Holdings, investment firms focusing on Russia and the former Soviet Union.

He received a BA from Brown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Joseph T. Healey is a founding partner of Sextant Search Partners and leads the Private Equity Practice in New York. Joe's distinguished sixteen-year career in executive search has been focused on recruiting senior executives in the financial services industry. Since 1995, he has specialized in recruiting engagements for senior investment professionals on behalf of alternative asset managers, with a particular emphasis on private equity funds. Representative clients include leveraged buyout and venture capital funds, private equity funds-of-funds, secondary investment firms and hedge funds. In addition, Joe and his partners at Sextant have been involved in the formation of numerous private equity investment firms.

Previously, Joe led the Global Private Equity Practice of the executive search division of TMP Worldwide. Before his affiliation with TMP Worldwide, Joe was a founding member of The Highland Search Group, a premiere financial services executive search firm that was formed in 1995 and acquired in October 1999 by TMP.

One of the private equity industry’s most recognized human capital experts, Joe is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

A founding partner of Sextant Search Partners, Sloan Klein is based in San Francisco and maintains an "of counsel" relationship with the Hedge Fund, Private Equity and Traditional Asset Management Practices. Sloan's private equity search experience includes partner and portfolio manager searches for venture capital and leveraged buyout firms, as well as funds-of-funds and endowments and foundations. In investment management, Sloan has conducted assignments in all functional areas, including sales, marketing and client service, portfolio managers and analysts, and general management.

Before founding Sextant, Sloan was a principal in the San Francisco office of TMP Worldwide Executive Search, where she was a member of the Financial Services Practice. Prior to joining TMP, Sloan was a vice president at Higdon Prince, a boutique investment management executive search firm where she played a key role in building the firm's private equity search business. Earlier, Sloan worked in capital markets at Lehman Brothers for four years, first as a research equity marketing associate and then as an equity portfolio strategist. She began her career at PaineWebber in institutional equity sales.

Sloan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University.

Gale Kroeger is a principal with Sextant Search Partners’ Global Banking Practice in New York, focusing on corporate and investment banking, risk management and leveraged/corporate finance. She has also led mandates for clients in the CDO, CLO and ABS markets.

Before her career in executive search, Gale spent over twenty years in corporate finance. She began at Chemical Bank where, after completing the Credit Training Program, she worked in various positions in corporate banking and leveraged finance. She subsequently joined Security Pacific / Banc of America Securities as a senior client manager, developing relationships with companies in various industries including chemicals, retailing and general industrial.

Gale has an MBA in finance with distinction from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA in economics from Wellesley College.

Peter W. McDermott is an associate supporting multiple practices at Sextant.

Previously, he was a sales recruiter for People Ventures Inc, a boutique search firm in Washington DC, where he collaborated with Fortune 500 companies to fill their recruiting needs.  At People Ventures, Peter’s specialty was candidate identification and outreach. Prior professional experience includes an internship in the Asset Management Group at Bloomberg LP.

Peter received his BA from the University of Richmond in Rhetoric & Communication Studies and American Studies, coupled with a concentration in Ethnic Studies and a minor in History.

Alison Orchant is chief administrative officer at Sextant Search Partners, bringing twelve years in search and staffing.

Most recently, Alison was director of Administrative Systems & Services for Hudson North America, a division of the Hudson Highland Group.  In that role, Alison was responsible for the integration of front office operations to back office/shared services, developing and implementing business process and best practices for Hudson’s five professional practices.  Previously, Alison managed Hudson’s legal staffing business and was responsible for temporary and permanent attorney recruiting.  In 1995, Alison founded Attorneys on Assignment, a temporary placement business.  The business was acquired by TMP Worldwide in 2001.

Prior to moving to New York in 1995 to start Attorneys on Assignment, Alison practiced law in New Mexico, first with the firm of Kemp Smith Duncan & Hammond, concentrating on commercial litigation matters, and then later with the Branch Law Firm where she focused on large scale multi-district products liability litigation.

Alison earned her BA in history from Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.  She earned her JD from the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating cum laude, and a member of Order of the Coif.  She was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar and remains in good standing there.

Steven B. Potter serves as a senior advisor to Sextant Search Partners. Previously, Steve was the firm's founding chairman and former chief executive officer.

Before joining Sextant, Steve was chief executive officer of TMP Worldwide Executive Search. Steve had held this role since the acquisition in 1999 of Highland Search Group, the highly successful boutique financial services executive search firm that he co-founded in 1995.

Prior to co-founding of Highland, where he served as managing partner since the firm's inception, Steve enjoyed a fourteen-year career with Russell Reynolds Associates, where he ultimately led the Global Banking and Merchant Banking practices. Steve oversaw Russell Reynolds' Asian business and was a member of its executive committee from 1992 until his departure.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Steve was the finance director of Prescott Bush's U.S. Senate Campaign. He also held positions with a small leveraged buyout firm, NOVA (the National Organization for Victim Assistance), and with the development offices at Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Steve received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.

Lucia Ripi is an associate with Sextant Search Partners' Healthcare and Private Equity Practices in New York, focusing on executive-level roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and high technology industries.  Lucia was the search administrator for the Healthcare Practice when she joined the firm in 2005.

Previously, Lucia gained valuable business experience as an entrepreneur in the construction and glass industry as a partner in her own company.  With its origins as a small family-run business, the company quickly grew to an established and well-respected contender in the glass industry.  This success was due in part to Lucia's business development and relationship skills.  Before this entrepreneurial pursuit, Lucia was the assistant to the president of NHL Enterprises, the licensing arm of the National Hockey League.

Lucia is a 1985 graduate of Briarcliffe Secretarial College.

Amy Elizabeth Russo is a partner leading Sextant Search Partners’ Global Banking Practice in New York. Amy's search experience has been focused on the debt, credit, risk and investment banking markets in both Europe and the United States.

Before entering the search industry, Amy's career was in banking at Citicorp and Barclays, in New York and in London, across a variety of credit-intensive product and risk management roles. In search, she has worked with a mixture of U.S. and European-headquartered financial institutions, helping them to build their capital markets, investment banking or private equity activities.

Amy received an AB from Harvard College and attended the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. She is a board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York.

Vanessa Eertmans de Samamé leads Sextant Search Partner’s Private Wealth Management Practice. She is also a member of the firm’s Global Banking, Private Equity, and Traditional Asset Management Practices in New York. Vanessa has conducted searches for large private wealth management institutions, as well as smaller high net worth alternative investment boutiques across the US market, recruiting for leadership, business development and product specialist roles for example. She has additional expertise in the private equity fund-of-funds space, and the debt, credit, corporate finance and M&A markets in Europe and the United States.

Her previous search experience includes several years in London with the executive search firms Whitehead Mann and Alexander Mann, where she conducted banking, asset management and legal assignments.

Prior to search, she spent a year in commercial banking with Bank Brussels Lambert in Cologne, with a short stint in Madrid. Vanessa graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a Bachelor of Arts in German and Spanish.

Paige C. Scott is a partner with Sextant Search Partners’ Traditional Asset Management and Hedge Fund Practices. Based in Boston and San Francisco, Paige focuses on senior-level searches for institutional sales and marketing, institutional client service, and consultant relations professionals; equity and fixed income portfolio managers and product specialists; equity and fixed income analysts; chief investment officers; hedge fund investment professionals; heads of wealth management and investment portfolio managers.

Before joining Sextant, Paige was a senior client partner within Korn/Ferry’s Investment Management Practice as well as co-head of the firm’s Hedge Fund Practice, based out of the Boston and San Francisco offices.

Previously, Paige was a senior recruiter for Source Finance in San Francisco, where she was instrumental in building the firm’s West Coast practice. She began her career working on due diligence and trial preparation for the law firm for Furth, Fahrner & Mason.

Paige earned a BA in French and Russian literature from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She is an active member of the Boston Club, the Financial Women’s Association of San Francisco, the Financial Planning Association of Boston and the Executive Women’s Golf Association of Boston.

Danielle Smith is an associate with Sextant's Private Equity Practice. She is based in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Sextant, Danielle worked for DRA Advisors, a registered investment advisor specializing in real estate investments.

Patrice W.L. Young is a principal with Sextant Search Partners in Boston. A member of the Healthcare, Hedge Fund, Private Equity, and Traditional Asset Management Practices, Pat specializes in the recruitment of senior investment professionals and senior operating executives to financial sponsor-backed companies in the healthcare, life sciences, and cleantech industries.

Before joining Sextant, Pat executed searches for J. Robert Scott, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments, focusing on the recruitment of senior operating executives of biotechnology companies and on the recruitment of senior executives in the financial services industry.

Pat is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and was the managing partner of the Chicago office of Berman & Clark, a Los Angeles-based law firm. She also was legal counsel to Aon Technical Insurance Services in Chicago. Throughout her legal career, Pat was a litigator and specialized in professional liability defense.

Pat holds a JD from Boston College Law School. She was raised in Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii before receiving a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
